How to track with Coco's Fitness App
How to log a workout
1. Open Trainerize App
-
Open the Trainerize app on your mobile device.
-
Log in using your email and password if you aren’t already signed in.
2. Navigate to Your Workout Plan
-
On the Dashboard, you’ll see your scheduled workouts for the day.
-
Tap on the scheduled workout OR go to the Programs tab to select a workout from your plan.
3. Start Logging Your Workout
-
Once you’ve selected a workout, tap “Start Now”.
-
You will see the list of exercises, including the number of sets, reps, and weight recommendations.
4. Enter Your Workout Data
For each exercise, you can log:
-
Reps – The number of repetitions you completed.
-
Weight – The amount of weight you used (if applicable).
-
Time/Duration – If it's a cardio workout, enter the duration or distance covered.
Tips:
-
If you lifted heavier or did more reps than prescribed, update the numbers to reflect your performance.
-
If you modified the exercise, note any changes in the comments section.
5. Mark Exercises as Completed
-
After entering your reps and weights, check off each exercise as you complete it.

If needed, you can tap the + Add Set button to log extra sets.
6. Add Notes (Optional)
-
At the bottom of each workout, you can add personal notes about how the session felt.
-
Example: "Felt strong today! Increased weight on squats by 5kg."
7. Complete and Save the Workout
-
Once you finish all exercises, tap “Finish Workout”.
-
The workout will now be saved in your history, and your coach will be able to see it.
8. Review Your Workout History
-
To see past workouts, go to More > Progress > Workout History.
-
Here, you can track your improvements over time.
9. Sync with Fitness Devices (Optional)
-
If you have a smartwatch or fitness tracker, you can sync it with Trainerize to log heart rate and calories burned.
10. Message Your Coach (Optional)

If you have any questions about your workout, use the chat feature to message your coach directly from the app.
How to track your nutrition - Coco's App
1. Open the Trainerize App

Open the Trainerize app on your phone.
-
Log in using your email and password if you’re not already signed in.
2. Go to the Nutrition Section

On the Dashboard, look for the Nutrition section.
-
Tap “Log a Meal” or go to the Nutrition Tracker tab to start tracking your food.
3. Add Your Meals
You can log food in the following ways:
-
Search for a Food: Use the Trainerize food database to find foods and meals.
-
Scan a Barcode: If you're eating packaged food, scan the barcode for quick entry.
-
Manually Enter a Meal: If the food isn’t in the database, you can manually enter calories, macros, and portion sizes.
-
Choose from Past Meals: If you frequently eat the same foods, you can quickly add meals from your history.
4. Adjust Serving Sizes
-
After selecting a food, adjust the serving size based on how much you ate.
-
Trainerize will automatically calculate the calories, protein, carbs, and fats based on your entry.
5. Track Your Macros and Calories
-
As you log meals, Trainerize will display your daily macro breakdown (Protein, Carbs, and Fats).
-
You can compare your intake against your target macros and calorie goals set by your coach.
6. Log Water Intake (Optional)
-
You can also track how much water you drink each day.
-
Simply tap “Add Water” and enter the amount in milliliters or ounces.
7. Review Your Daily Summary
-
At the end of the day, check your nutrition summary to see how well you hit your targets.
-
Trainerize provides a visual breakdown of your calorie intake and macronutrient balance.
8. Add Notes (Optional)
-
If you want to add details about how you felt, digestion, or cravings, you can leave notes under each meal.
9. Sync With Your Coach (If Applicable)
-
Your coach will be able to review your nutrition log and provide feedback on your intake.

You can also send a message through Trainerize if you need adjustments to your plan.
10. Track Trends Over Time
-
To view past logs, go to More > Progress > Nutrition History.

This helps you track consistency and make adjustments if needed.
How to connect MyfitnessPal
1. Open Trainerize App
-
Launch the Trainerize app on your mobile device.
-
Log in using your email and password.
2. Go to Settings
-
Tap on the “More” tab (three dots in the bottom menu).
-
Select “Connected Apps” from the menu.
3. Select MyFitnessPal
-
Scroll down and find MyFitnessPal in the list of available integrations.
-
Tap on “Connect” next to MyFitnessPal.
4. Sign in to Your MyFitnessPal Account
-
You’ll be redirected to MyFitnessPal’s login page.
-
Enter your MyFitnessPal email and password, then tap Login.
5. Grant Permission to Sync Data
-
MyFitnessPal will ask for permission to share your nutrition data with Trainerize.
-
Tap “Allow” to authorize the connection.
6. Confirm Connection in Trainerize
-
Once MyFitnessPal is linked, Trainerize will display a confirmation message.
-
Your food logs and macros from MyFitnessPal will now automatically sync into Trainerize.
7. Check If Data is Syncing Correctly
-
Log a meal in MyFitnessPal.
-
Go back to Trainerize and check your Nutrition section to see if the data appears.
-
It may take a few minutes for the sync to update.
8. Troubleshooting Sync Issues
If your meals aren’t syncing correctly:
-
Ensure diary sharing is enabled in MyFitnessPal:
-
Open MyFitnessPal → Tap More → Go to Settings → Select Diary Sharing → Set to Public or Friends Only.

Disconnect and reconnect MyFitnessPal in Trainerize.
-
Check for app updates (make sure both MyFitnessPal and Trainerize are up to date).
-
Log out and log back in to both apps.
9. What Data Syncs Between MyFitnessPal & Trainerize?
Calories
Macronutrients (Protein, Carbs, Fats)
Meal Names & Times
Water Intake
Micronutrients (Vitamins, Minerals, Fiber) do not sync.
10. Start Tracking!
Now that MyFitnessPal is connected, you can continue logging meals in MFP, and Trainerize will pull the data automatically.
This allows you to track your nutrition while keeping everything in one place for your fitness coach to review!
How to track your Weight Goal
1. Open the Trainerize App

Launch the Trainerize app on your phone.

Log in to your account if needed.
2. Go to the Progress Section
-
Tap on the “More” tab (bottom-right menu).
-
Select “Progress” from the list.
3. Set a Weight Goal
-
Tap “Set Goal” or “Weight” in the Progress section.
-
Enter your target weight (your goal weight).
-
Tap Save to confirm.
4. Log Your Weight
-
Go to Progress > Weight.
-
Tap “+ Add Entry” or “Log Weight”.
-
Enter your current weight and the date.
-
Tap Save to record it.
5. Track Progress Over Time
-
Trainerize will display your weight history in a graph.
-
You can see weekly, monthly, and overall trends.
6. Sync With Fitness Apps (Optional)
-
If you use MyFitnessPal, Apple Health, Google Fit, or Fitbit, you can sync your weight automatically.
-
Go to More > Connected Apps and connect your preferred app.
7. Add Progress Photos (Optional)
-
To track body composition changes, take progress photos.
-
Go to Progress > Progress Photos → Tap “Add Photo” → Upload a front, side, and back view.
-
Trainerize will store these so you can compare before/after results.
8. View Your Progress Reports
-
Trainerize will generate progress reports based on your logged weight.
-
You can check how close you are to your goal.
9. Adjust as Needed
-
If your weight goal changes, go back to Progress > Weight and update your target.
10. Stay Consistent
-
Try to log your weight at the same time each day/week for accurate tracking.
-
Use a consistent scale and weigh yourself under the same conditions (e.g., morning, after using the restroom, before eating).
How to Track a Cardio Session
1. Open the Trainerize App
-
Launch the Trainerize app on your phone.
-
Log in using your email and password.
2. Go to the Workouts Section
-
On the Dashboard, look for the Workouts tab.
-
If your coach has scheduled a cardio session, tap on it.
-
If you’re doing an unscheduled workout, tap “Log a Workout” and select Cardio.
3. Select a Cardio Activity
-
Choose the type of cardio session you did (e.g., Running, Cycling, Rowing, Elliptical, Swimming, HIIT, etc.).
-
If the activity isn’t listed, select Custom Workout and enter the details manually.
4. Enter Workout Details
For duration-based cardio (e.g., running, cycling, swimming):
-
Time/Duration – How long you worked out (e.g., 30 minutes).
-
Distance (if applicable) – How far you went (e.g., 5 km).
-
Calories Burned (optional) – If you tracked it on a fitness watch, enter it.
For HIIT or interval training:
-
Workout duration – Total time spent in the session.
-
Number of rounds/intervals – If applicable, enter how many rounds you completed.
For treadmill or elliptical workouts:
-
Speed/Incline – Enter average speed and incline (optional).
-
Time/Distance – Log how long and how far you went.
5. Add Notes (Optional)

If you want to track how the session felt, add a note (e.g., "Felt strong today, increased pace in the last 5 minutes!").
6. Save Your Cardio Session

Tap “Save Workout” or “Finish Workout” to log the session.

Your cardio session will now appear in your workout history.
7. Track Progress Over Time

Go to Progress > Cardio History to see trends in your endurance, speed, and workout frequency.
8. Sync With Fitness Apps (Optional)

If you use a fitness tracker (Apple Watch, Fitbit, Garmin, etc.), connect it via More > Connected Apps to automatically sync your cardio data.
